Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Miami released 3 albums through TK, while serving as the TK house band, recording sessions with the likes of George McCrae, Gwen McCrae, Betty Wright , Little Beaver and many more. Created by songwriter Willie Clarke, the seven musicians in the band, including Clarke on percussions, provided a smooth Miami disco-soul backing to Robert Moore's up-tempo vocals. Party Freaks was their first album, released in 1974 on TK subsidiary Drive Records. Their second LP, Notorious featured a bigger production budget which is evident on songs such as Kill That Roach with its layered vocal effects and the addition of strings and horns. Miami's final album was recorded in 1978, but never saw a release. .Although there has been a Best Of Miami collection available through Westside Records, this Stateside release has a slightly different tracklisting from that release, which is no longer available. EMI. 2005.
