I love American Idol, and I voted for Jennifer Hudson to go thru to the finals. So I had to order her CD. It's awesome!!

1 out of 5 stars A BIG DISAPOINTMENT   November 17, 2008

AFTER THE LONG WAIT FOR THIS CD, IT IS A HUGE LET DOWN. JENNIFER IS A BETTER SINGER THEN THESE SONGS. ONLY ONES WORTHWHILE ARE SPOTLIGHT, AND I AM TELLING YOU AND THE GOSPEL SONG. OTHER THEN THAT IT'S WORTHLESS AND A WASTE OF HER VOICE.

5 out of 5 stars A Must Have!   November 10, 2008
I was so excited when Jen's CD came out in September. I purchased 5 copies at first, and a few more after that (as Christmas presents). While I do have my favorites on the CD, I think that overall, this is a great first release. I was hoping for more mid-tempo songs like Spotlight or What's Wrong, but thought that Pocketbook was definitely a surprise (a welcomed one). I probably have listed to "Invisible" at least a 200 times, that would definitely have to be my favorite and I absolutely love "If This Is Isn't Love", and recently been listening to "My Heart" a lot more recently as well. So those are my top 3 right now. I like that she blows on all of her songs, but I definitely wouldn't change a thing. I hope everyone who has followed her since American Idol will go out and support her.

1 out of 5 stars Total disappointment   November 9, 2008

Just to echo what many others have said -- these are lousy songs that are completely unworthy of J.H.'s wonderful voice. I don't even think "Spotlight" is very good! Her record label had an opportunity for a Whitney Houston-type blockbuster, with an audience already in place, eagerly awaiting this album -- and they totally blew it. I'm especially surprised that Clive Davis couldn't do a better job.
